COVID-19 skeptic to survivor

On JoCo on the Go, episode #51, hear from a Johnson County woman who in March had doubts that COVID-19 was a reality in the U.S., and certainly didn’t think it would find its way to her family. But after developing extreme exhaustion, chills and a long-lasting headache, her skepticism turned into  a reality. Her case led to community spread, with others infected and hospitalized. Hear about the lasting physical and financial impact the pandemic has had. She’s urging residents to take seriously the safety precautions to prevent further spread.

Returning to school safely

Family survives COVID-19

On JoCo on the Go, episode #48, hear from the Green family of Johnson County. In March, their daughters got sick and then Jason and Katy started feeling ill. Within a short time, they were both in the hospital. Katy went home to her daughters as they said over the phone what could have been their final goodbyes to their loved one, just before Jason was put on a ventilator for 18 days. He and his family survived COVID-19 and are sharing their story to help stop the spread of the illness, and so others never have to endure what they faced.
